Today was my mom's co-op history class which I am part of, and week talked about Greek philosophers.
My brother, Payton, asked us philosophy questions. The one that troubled us the most was "Can good exist without evil?"
Everyone had different opinion, I still can't decide..... What do you say?
Other questions were--- What is the basic idea of perfect happiness to anyone and everyone around the world, and there were others, but I can't remember................
Vicki from http://butgivemejesus.blogspot.com/ has tagged me with a Christmas tag! :):):)
Here it goes---
The Christmas Quiz

Do rolls count? Because I *love* them! :):):) - Do you have a Nativity scene or a creche? How many pieces does it have?
Well, we used tto but it's so old that completely fell apart! :() - What is your favorite Christmas movie?
oooh... that's hard... I have 4 or 5 but one of them is It's a Wonderful Life! - If you and your family could spend this Christmas in another country, where would you go?
It depends on whose choice it is, if it was mine I'd go to France... probably! :D - Does your grandmother usually knit you something for Christmas, or does she give you something different -- say, a Wii?
Um, usually money! - Have you ever gone out of the house wearing a reindeer headband? What about a Santa hat?
No, but Juliana just bought one! But she put it on the horse! :P - Do you usually make or buy your Christmas gifts?
Buy usually. - When do you set up your Christmas decorations? When do you take them down?

Oooo I really am not a big fan of philosophy especially since I just got done with school, but I will give the question a shot so here's my 2 cents because that's all it's work. *wink* Ok, I would have to say that yes good can exist without evil because God is good and He cannot be evil. 1 John 1:5 says that God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all. So, God exists, He is good, so therefore good can exist without evil. However, ON EARTH, there may be a different answer! Anyways, that's just what popped into my head. =] Good question!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for tagging me!!
